This ranking list of the most affordable online BSN degrees is based on real data. Online colleges NEVER pay to be listed in any Get Educated rankings or ratings list. To appear on the Get Educated Best Buy ranking list, the degree profiled must cost less than the average cost of RN to BSN programs reviewed in the comprehensive national data set.

Please note most online BSN programs are online bachelor completion programs that require applicants to have already completed the equivalent of an associate’s degree and to hold a valid RN license. Total online degree cost calculations stated below are based on completion of a minimum 120-130 semester credits, but most online BSN students will only need to complete 30-60 new course credits online, significantly reducing the total online degree completion rates.

Best Online BSN Programs for Affordability

Note: These online BSN rankings are based on a Spring 2013 Get Educated review of regionally accredited or candidate online bachelor’s in nursing programs. Tuition and online fees were valid at time of survey collection. Profiles for each online RN to BSN degree in our directory may reflect slightly different costs and admission requirements based on editorial update schedules.

The published cost is an estimated price for the entire BSN degree and reflects the most affordable online BSN. Actual costs will vary. Factors such as transfer credits at entrance, prerequisite requirements specific to each degree, healthcare licensing and financial aid availability will affect cost. Please note that most online BSN programs require applicants to hold associate degrees at entry along with a valid RN license. Applicants who enter with a valid RN license and an associate’s degree may experience significantly lower costs than the total estimate given.

These rankings are editorially independent, open to any regionally accredited or candidate college that offers a nursing BSN degree that is available at least 80% through online learning and that is open to enrollment by the public. There is no cost to be included in any Get Educated ranking survey or to use Get Educated award seal should your online degree program appear on these ranking tables.

If your online nursing school is regionally accredited and not currently reviewed by Get Educated please contact us for inclusion. Each specific online degree affordability ranking list is calculated every two years. The next online BSN rankings will be undertaken Spring 2015.
