USA: Car Hire CDW and SLI Cover
Across the pond, car hire companies often don’t offer insurance as part of your car hire package. In many cases, customers are required to purchase a collision damage waiver (CDW) or supplemental liability insurance (SLI) on top of their car hire price. Our Americas car hire insurance policy is designed specifically for those travelling on the other side of the Atlantic and combines CDW, SLI and of course, excess cover. In a nutshell, a collision damage waiver (CDW) covers your liability for damage to the vehicle or loss/theft. If you’re hiring a car in Europe this is more than likely to be included in the price of your rental. In the United States and some other nations however, you may need more than just excess insurance. In the Americas, it’s less common for CDW to be included and you may be required to purchase this cover as an added extra. insurance4carhire can provide this cover alongside your excess insurance often at a smaller cost than you’d get at the rental desk. Similarly, supplementary liability insurance (SLI) (sometimes referred to as third party cover) may not be included in the Americas but insurance4carhire can provide this too. Find out more

When it comes to car hire insurance however, the Americas often don’t offer cover as standard. That’s why insurance4carhire have put together a policy which includes the damage waiver (CDW), liability cover (SLI) and excess cover which is often not included in the price of your car hire in the Americas.
